How to add to VENUS app

To add device to VENUS, below actions are required:

  • Press “Add button” (button ‘+’) in app

  • Reset device:

    + Plugin device to power supply socket

    + Short press and quickly release Action Button, LED will blink in 3 seconds

  • Wait for VENUS scan & detect this device and inform in app

Functions of z-wave button

  • Press once: add/remove siren to/from z-wave network
  • Press and hold 5~8 seconds: cancel alarm status or test the sound
  • Press and hold 20 seconds and release: Reset siren to factory default setting

Factory reset

Press and hold the Action Button for 20 seconds and then release it. Your Siren will now be reset to its original settings, and the speaker system will sound for 3 seconds as a confirmation.

Configuration description

  1. Alarm sound and volume

    This setting adjusts type of alarm sound and volume. High byte is used for alarm type and low byte is used for volume.
    • Available:
      • Alarm sound type 1 - relevant to intruder alerts
      • Alarm sound type 2 - relevant to the likes of medical emergencies
      • Alarm sound type 3 - relevant to the likes of medical emergencies continuosly
      • Alarm sound type 4 - relevant to the likes of water leaks
      • Alarm sound type 5 - relevant to the likes of and door chimes
      • Do not change current volume
      • Low volume with 88 dB
      • Medium volume with 100 dB
      • High volume with 105 dB

    • Default: alram sound type 1 and high volume

    • Parameter 37, 2 bytes size

  2. Enable to send notification to associated devices

    This setting enables ability to send notification to associated devices when siren state changes.
    • Available:
      • Send nothing
      • Send hail CC
      • Send basic CC report

  3. Enable lock configuration

    Enable/Disable lock configuration setting for this device.
    • Available:
      • Enable lock configuration
      • Disable lock configuration

    • Default: Disable

    • Parameter 255, 1 byte size
